Yoga

Yoga felt a little too much like work yesterday. Today I am definitely feeling it's effects. My poor legs are wondering what they did to deserve this.

My dad asked me if I like yoga. I don't really have an answer. I guess I would enjoy it more if I could do more of the stretches properly. Like the 'forward fold'. That is when you bend yourself in half, with straight legs and your hands touching your feet/the floor. When I do it, it's more of a squat. I think my hamstrings are 2 inches too short for my legs. I just do not bend that way. Or sitting with your legs straight out and leaning forward. There is no forward lean. Sitting up straight creates enough of a stretch for me. My doctor says I'm worse then an old man when it comes to flexibility.

Well, back to studying I go. My first exam is tomorrow night.

New Beginnings

Exactly one month until I will be done exams. Scary/Exciting!!!

Anyways, let's get to it.

Today I had my first yoga class. My parents and I are in a beginner's class that goes until sometime in June. I thought it was going to be horrible (since I have the flexibility of a tree stump) but it was actually pretty good. Our instructor is really nice and most importantly, she didn't judge me for my lack of toe-touching ability! But I'm not going to lie, my favourite part was at the end when we just got to lie on the floor and breathe.

For awhile I have been doing a lot of thinking about my education and where I'm going in life. I've made a couple of decisions in the last couple of days that will completely change the direction I'm heading in. It's really scary but kind of exciting at the same time. Phase one of new plan is to upgrade some courses. So starting May 4th, I will officially begin summer school.

Wish me luck!
